As soon as I purchased the Launch I put it to use.
I was doing a brake job and used it to release these new ebrakes. Worked perfectly and saved me a bunch of time. It has so many functions!! I will be learning new things with this Thinkscan 689 each time I use it! It’s very sturdy, connects fast, and I love the warning it gives to remind you not to leave it in the vehicle when you’re done!! Can’t tell you how many times I have left or almost left one of these scanners in a car!
Overall all, GREAT product! And sooo many functions. This will be the first tool used when I start a diagnostic check!!!!

My review somehow violated community guidelines, but Amazon always refuses to tell you why. So, in the interest of actually getting a review for this posted, all I will say is that it works and I like it. This is professional quality and it does what it advertises to do.

Yeah, this scanner isn’t exactly pocket change, but it better be built like a tank for the price. Out of the box, it feels solid and has all the bells and whistles you’d expect, 34 reset services, bidirectional control, ECU coding, the works. I’m impressed so far, but let me tell you, if it gives out on me, you’ll hear me screeching like a squirrel that just lost its stash. No updates from me? That means it’s holding up just fine, so go ahead and give it a shot if you’re looking for something serious.

I've been using this unit for 20 days now, and it can perform a lot of functions. I did get a hard-wire system because Bluetooth may stop working, making the whole unit useless, unless you can buy a Bluetooth adapter and repair it, but this information was not available. if they can come out with a Bluetooth adapter that can fit on the 16-pin connector of the unit and convert it to Bluetooth for around $50 CND, I'll get it. Or the unlit has a Bluetooth built-in to it all, I need a Bluetooth receiver for OB2.
