I've never felt safer. And I no longer have to worry about paying over 180.00 for a service dept to scan my car. I also no longer have to worry about a service dept takimg advantage of me and saying my car needs things it doesn't. The JS501 is basically a plug in and play type deal. It's ready to go as soon as you take it out of the box. The scanner and cables are easy to handle, Easy to function, easy to use and understand, and it's not too bulky. The JS501 is a jump starter and should be used when your vehicle requires a jump. It does not charge or maintain your car battery. It can be used to charge your phone or other usb or c port devices. **Do not charge your phone while your jumping the car at the same time**.
JS501 gives you complete code reading and clearing functions. It checks the engine fault code, as well as checks other error codes throughout your car and provides you with a detailed vehicle report you can print out all on your own.
So overall it can safely jump-start most 12V vehicles(up to 7.0 gas and 5.0L diesel engines). It also comes with smart cable clamps and built-in 10 protection programs and works in extreme climates -4~140℉.
Scanner is currently installed with the latest version and all software is free. Auto code reader supports Review & Print diagnostic reports from the Auto fix, just connect to your computer via USB and print out whatever you need. The scanner for car works on most OBD-II-compliant vehicles after 1996

After placing my original review the seller reached out to me with their concerns. It seems as though we received a faulty device the first time. Seller remediated the issue and sent a new device out very quickly. The new device we received works perfectly fine! I have updated from 1 star to 5 for sellers quick response and a great working device. I will say my husband is a VW technician, and it seems as though some VW’s are part of the few vehicles that it will not pickup on the O2 sensor read out. Unfortunately, that’s mostly just the brand and a lot of VW vehicles require their own equipment.

Original: It does not work. Plugged it into multiple vehicles, and it just displays a white screen. My husband works as an automotive technician, this says works on 99% of vehicles. He tried all different makes and models, just did not work. So I can not recommend.
